We have taken this amazing flight controller designed by Peabody124 for Tau Labs and built it here in the USA using the same stringent inspection and manufacturing methods used for our aerospace and military customers. All the sensors in Sparky are genuine, no cloned sensors here. These two factors together equal the highest quality flight controller on the market today

- GPS capable for functions such as RTH (Return To Home), Position Hold and Waypoint navigation in conjunction with a ground station.
- Mavlink compatible for the use of telemetry radios for use with a ground station to provide location information and waypoint navigation.

FC1212-S XAircraft Standard Flight Controller
The FC1212-S Flight Controller processes input RC signals and achieves series of fly movements by flight control algorithm and controls camera mount or shutter and so on. FC is mainly to control XAircraft flight attitude and heading, which is completed through specs below necessarily.

1. Receive RC signal, that is XAircraft control signal on throttle, pitch roll and yaw. It actually reflects the attitude users want to be showed on XAircraft which FC can do that, called expected attitude.
2. Calculate quadcopter real attitude from AHRS that is compliant to expected attitude.
3. If not, you have to calculate the four motors next rotation rate by flight control algorithm to alter blades rotation rate. It will change attitude to expect.

FC repeats the steps above to keep XAircraft fly stable and enable to do some fly stunts like funnel, fly in a figure 8 or loop/rolls.

XAircraft provides aeromodell enthusiasts a platform for aerial photography and aerial videography. It is also very important to control camera mount (Pan/Tilt) besides fly XAircraft stably and do fly stunts, XAircraft FC1212-S Flight Controller can do the camera mount stability augment control and shutter motion.

Additionally, FC1212-S has 5 electronic device link ports (PortA to PortE) which can be connected to standard configuration AHRS-S as well as expandable accessories like GPS, LED Module and so on. Compass:
Compass is constituted with a 3-axis geomagnetic sensor. AHRS can read data geomagnetism related from Compass after it's connected to AHRS.

AHRS can calculate the heading relative to earth's magnetic pole through this data, 3 degrees north by east for example. This heading can correct the gyro yaw drift to achieve heading lock.

Electronic compass installation:
Electronic compass works the same as regular physical compass sensing the Earth's magnetic field. The difference is that the electronic compass output is the electronic compass signal.

On the electronic compass, there is a mark "Front" letter with triangle arrow, the arrow pointing north of the Earth's magnetic field, electronic compass output is 0 degrees.

When installing the Electronic compass, you need to note the following:
1: The electronic compass is sensitive to magnetic objects (such as magnets, motors, etc.). Electronic compass installation location must be away from these objects.
2: The electronic compass is sensitive to electrical current wire/cable, especially in high current conductors (such as the battery power lines, electrical lines, etc.). Electronic compass installation location must be away from electrical conductors.
3: The direction of the electronic compass "Front" triangular arrow and AHRS "Front" triangular arrow must be consistent.
4: the initial installation of an electronic compass, you need to calibrate the electronic compass. Each time after changing the installation position, the electronic compass should be re-calibrated.
